Scheme - Patrol

The Patrol administrates more than 50 various models of a Time&Attendance and/or Access Control readers:

  • Biometric readers HandKey II, HandPunch (hand geometry) – producer: Recognition System, USA
  • Multi readers e.g. series iClock2000/2500/2800 (combination fingerprints, RFID cards (EM, HID, MiFare, Legic) and passwords) – producer: ZKSoftware, China
  • Biometric readers Morpho (fingerprint)) – producer: Sagem, France
  • Readers of RFID cards NetBox, PRM20, PCR41, UMR11 (types of RFID cards: EM, HID, MiFare, Legic) – producer: DUHA system, Czech republic

Architecture Client/Server:

  • Station type Client: Administration of the system, administrator knows administrate particular subsystems (via GUI): (1) readers, (2) users, (3) transactions (events done on readers)
  • Station type Server: Communication with readers, it has assigned minimal one reader, in majority cases is installed as application type: Service

Events control (Patrol “knows” execute sequence of system/user events and actions) according:

  • 1. Defined event, e.g. when sensor of motion is activated (reader is tamper opened), Patrol execute action „Reader is tamper open“ + siren
  • 2. Time, e.g. employee XY comes into work after defined in time, Patrol execute action „late in“ and sent SMS/e-mail to boss
Graphical User Interface - Patrol

Features:

  • On-line monitoring of statement of assigned readers (transactions reading, connectivity break, etc.)
  • Administration of access points (doors, turnstiles, ramps, lifts, etc.):
    Communication run via RS232/485/422 or Ethernet network (TCP-IP)
  • Users administration::
    Insert, delete, modify users’ profile
  • Automated administration of bio templates or codes of RFID cards:
    Enrollment of user’s bio template/card’s code on any biometric reader/card’s reader
  • Automatic data import/export into/from another SW applications: (Time&Attendance, human resource, salary systems, e.g. Visitor (APIS), SAP HR, PeopleSoft, WebDoch (Siemens), Human (Hour))

Regimes:

  • 1. SW application type *.exe, interactive Start up from working station
  • 2. SW application type Service, automatically Start up after server start

Platform:

  • 1. Server: Win2003, 2008
  • 2. Stations: Win2000, XP, Vista

Database platforms:

  • MS Access
  • MSDE 2000, 2005 (Express Edition)
  • MS SQL 2000, 2005
